Banfield's Delmiro Lawrence proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Banfield from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusebio Savier in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delmiro Lawrence prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In a very dangerous position, a player in Banfield fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! The audience thought a goal was coming when Prudencio Ederono got free with Delmiro Lawrence in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Banfield's Delmiro Lawrence got control of the ball when Prudencio Ederono tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute Eusebio Savier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Lawrence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgardo Orlan kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Prudencio Ederono blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Delmiro Lawrence having to make a save. Eusebio Savier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 32 played minutes Quilmes Atletico Club got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Evangelista. Efrain Rito hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Quilmes Atletico Club's Victorio Koldobika tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Gilberto Froila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Victorino Txilar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When Martin Matxin fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Banfield's protests and gave Martin Matxin a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes Banfield got a freekick which was hit by Martin Matxin. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Prudencio Ederono managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quilmes Atletico Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Prudencio Ederono was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delmiro Lawrence breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Banfield's zone, Eusebio Savier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmiro Lawrence came out of the goal and Eusebio Savier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Eusebio Savier sped through Banfield's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Delmiro Lawrence. Eusebio Savier took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Delmiro Lawrence. Delmiro Lawrence dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Froila got free with Victorino Txilar in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute, Gilberto Froila ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victorino Txilar was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 76 minutes into the game, Basilio Goizeder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quilmes Atletico Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Banfield the free kick. Basilio Goizeder kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Gilberto Froila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorino Txilar having to interfere. When Adolfo Palos fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quilmes Atletico Club's protests and gave Adolfo Palos a yellow card for diving instead. Adolfo Palos hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the game, Edgardo Orlan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Banfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quilmes Atletico Club the free kick. Banfield's Delmiro Lawrence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Ederono in the 93rd minute of play. Florentino Bautista kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Quilmes Atletico Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
