Grande el fortin made a substitution. Tadeo Benino replaced Vicente Paul. Gaston Herauso didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 11th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Danilo Gau didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tadeo Benino went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Faustino Txordon hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as GIMNASIA DE LA PLATA's Cosme Todor slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gaston Herauso. That made the score 4-1 after 33 minutes of play. In the 35th match minute, Grande el fortin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Benino to maneuver through the defense. Cosme Todor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. GIMNASIA DE LA PLATA's Danilo Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeo Benino in the 43rd minute of play. Eleuterio Markel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Gaston Herauso made a huge save. Gaston Herauso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eleuterio Markel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-1 in the 46 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eleuterio Markel was the one to do the kick off. Danilo Gau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Martxot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danilo Gau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgardo Dalmai in the 89th minute. 93 minutes into the match, GIMNASIA DE LA PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Luzea came free, but Danilo Gau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
