Carlos Cordero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. The supporters of Club Atletico Central booed when Deportivo Santiagueño FC. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Oskitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Freddy Miro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardino Nuno got free with Severo Xabier in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute, Hugo Soin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 57 minutes, Cristobal Goi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Santiagueño FC.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristobal Goi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evaristo Silbestre succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-3 in the 77th playminute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aristides Fresco in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severo Xabier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Central's Aristides Fresco got a free kick in the 87th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Atletico Central had played much better football throughout.
