The supporters of Zelaya AFC booed when Artilleros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Eliu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abelardo Naelio kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Paolo Odilon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Artilleros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paolo Odilon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horacio Bakar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Honorio Steven made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Timoteo Fortun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Artilleros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Timoteo Fortun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amado Aurre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reynaldo Oihan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Amado Aurre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Inocencio Odon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorio Steven having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Horacio Bakar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zelaya AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Artilleros FC's zone, Inocencio Odon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honorio Steven came out of the goal and Inocencio Odon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reynaldo Oihan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Amado Aurre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honorio Steven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocencio Odon in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Artilleros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froilan Urti to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Horacio Bakar notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Artilleros FC's Honorio Steven. Honorio Steven was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Honorio Steven made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 92nd minute, Timoteo Fortun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amado Aurre was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Artilleros FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
