Pastor Cresitobalo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Tomas Bastian made a huge save. If Pastor Cresitobalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonel Matai kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Santiago Hernando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Sandaili in the 26th minute of the match. When Nemesio Quinten fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brinkman's protests and gave Nemesio Quinten a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Brinkman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nemesio Quinten to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the game, Pillahuincó AFC's Teo Cucao nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santiago Hernando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severo Onbera to make the kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 54 minutes into the match, Gabriel Txatxu notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Brinkman's Santiago Hernando. Santiago Hernando was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Pillahuincó AFC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Remigio Sandaili hit a great ball. Santiago Hernando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remigio Sandaili in the 68th minute of play. Santiago Hernando made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Teo Cucao sent off a good shot on target. Santiago Hernando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aquilino Ignazio in the 70th minute. The Brinkman fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pillahuincó AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
