The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Soldevila AFC's zone, Wilfredo Gelmiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimiro Baumer came out of the goal and Wilfredo Gelmiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 8 in the game by Wilfredo Gelmiro from a close distance when the talented Vladimiro Baumer managed to make a qualified save. Soldevila AFC's players were relieved. When the match had been going on for 9 minutes, Sucre's Wilfredo Gelmiro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vladimiro Baumer. Eustaquio Phelipe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Vladimiro Baumer made a huge save. 27 minutes into the match, Ulises Baleren notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sucre's Godofredo Poz. Godofredo Poz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulises Baleren in the 30th minute of play forced Sucre's goalkeeper Godofredo Poz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Omar Luzea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Godofredo Poz. Sucre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Omar Luzea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Vladimiro Baumer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Astigar, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Luciano Fagondo struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Vladimiro Baumer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sucre. In the 45th minute, Jacinto Muno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

In the 54th minute, Wilfredo Gelmiro made a precise shot to the right of Vladimiro Baumer. Soldevila AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Wilfredo Gelmiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimiro Baumer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilfredo Gelmiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Godofredo Poz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulises Baleren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute of the match Hipolito Procopio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Godofredo Poz skillfully saved the ball. After 66 minutes of play, Sucre's Eustaquio Phelipe made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladimiro Baumer was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 70th minute Ernesto Astigar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Baumer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes of play, Sucre's Ernesto Astigar made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladimiro Baumer was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulises Baleren during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 73 played minutes Soldevila AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Baleren. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Luzea got free with Godofredo Poz in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vladimiro Baumer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eustaquio Phelipe went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-2 was the resulting score. Godofredo Poz made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Omar Luzea sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the game, Sucre's Luciano Fagondo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vladimiro Baumer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-2. After a defensive mix-up in Sucre's zone, Ulises Baleren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godofredo Poz came out of the goal and Ulises Baleren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luciano Fagondo's late challenge caught a Soldevila AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luciano Fagondo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Soldevila AFC booed when Sucre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Fagondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sucre had played much better football throughout.
