Evaristo Piorno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Veremundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute Honorio Artizar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Piorno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Gaspar Jurdan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leopoldo Restu. The goal made the score 1-0. After 13 minutes of play, Tercer Tiempo FC's Fabian Veremundo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evaristo Piorno was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute Honorio Artizar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Piorno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Tercer Tiempo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amador Laurentzi came free, but Leopoldo Restu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amador Laurentzi's late challenge caught a Tercer Tiempo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amador Laurentzi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, BLOODY ROOTS's Amador Laurentzi got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Honorio Artizar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Evaristo Piorno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evaristo Piorno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Veremundo in the 25th minute of play. With a little luck, Tercer Tiempo FC's Leopoldo Restu got control of the ball when Arnoldo Rocio tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Veremundo in the 31st minute of play forced BLOODY ROOTS's goalkeeper Evaristo Piorno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmelo Nevada hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Rocio got free with Leopoldo Restu in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Lucas Romano came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Tercer Tiempo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Romano couldn't finish the play. Lucas Romano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Piorno having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Veremundo in the 47th minute of play forced BLOODY ROOTS's goalkeeper Evaristo Piorno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Honorio Artizar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leopoldo Restu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Laurentzi in the 54th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in BLOODY ROOTS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Tercer Tiempo FC a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Laureano Sein, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of BLOODY ROOTS's Evaristo Piorno. 1-2. In the 67th minute, Amador Laurentzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leopoldo Restu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Evaristo Piorno successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Lucas Romano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amador Laurentzi in the 77th minute of play forced Tercer Tiempo FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Restu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tercer Tiempo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorio Artizar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evaristo Piorno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabian Veremundo went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. If Fabian Veremundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BLOODY ROOTS's Evaristo Piorno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Artizar in the 87th minute of play. BLOODY ROOTS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Fabian Veremundo scored to the left of an out of position Evaristo Piorno, making the score, 3-4. If Honorio Artizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian Veremundo got free with Evaristo Piorno in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When János Sipos fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tercer Tiempo FC's protests and gave János Sipos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 97th minute, one of Tercer Tiempo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tercer Tiempo FC. In the 99th minute there was a penalty for BLOODY ROOTS. Jaime Iago stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leopoldo Restu. 4-4. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
