Tomás Reno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Faustino Ihintza took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Esteban Ignazio to make any attempt to save it. Gabriel Bikendi's late challenge caught a La Habana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Bikendi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Guachipas CFK getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Gabriel Bikendi hit a great ball. Tomás Reno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Cordeal in the 32nd minute of the match. Tomás Reno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Orkatz in the 35th minute of play. Esteban Ignazio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Abilio, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. When Amancio Cordeal came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Guachipas CFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amancio Cordeal couldn't finish the play. Esteban Ignazio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvio Senin in the 41st minute. Faustino Ihintza's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Esteban Ignazio firmly grabbed it by the left post. With an all-out effort, La Habana's Esteban Ignazio threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Faustino Ihintza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 46 minutes into the game, Atilano Jobo threw the ball into play from the sideline. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Guachipas CFK. 96 minutes into the game, Placido Bikendi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Esteban Ignazio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
