Rata Blanca F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Epifanio Opilano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute, Leon Baumer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Epifanio Opilano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 21st minute of the match Jonathan Xabier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gualterio Quinto skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domingo Bonadona got free with Andres Ur in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in C. D. Las Cucarachas's zone, Epifanio Opilano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualterio Quinto came out of the goal and Epifanio Opilano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Leon Baumer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Godofredo Pio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gualterio Quinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Gonchan in the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Gregorio Orain was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rata Blanca F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. D. Las Cucarachas the free kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cornelio Artizar to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Fabian Venerando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Andres Ur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelio Artizar, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Federico Gonchan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rata Blanca F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Gonchan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gualterio Quinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Epifanio Opilano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Federico Gonchan struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Gualterio Quinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rata Blanca F.C.. After 82 played minutes C. D. Las Cucarachas got a freekick which was hit by Inocencio Sotero. Epifanio Opilano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Gualterio Quinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to C. D. Las Cucarachas getting a freekick after 97 minutes play.
