Chimborazo F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alejo Rius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Chimborazo F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Rius came free, but Arqile Arquett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Chimborazo F.C's Claudio Jerano got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 17 minutes of play, Chaco For Ever's Alejo Rius made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arqile Arquett was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 22nd match minute, Chaco For Ever was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejo Rius to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute Carolo Haritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Montxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute of the match Dante Sancho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arqile Arquett skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Chimborazo F.C's Claudio Jerano got a free kick in the 37th minute. After 40 played minutes Chimborazo F.C got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Lauren. Chaco For Ever's Gonzalo Reyes got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tiberiu Nicea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Montxo having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alejo Rius was the one to do the kick off. Florentino Montxo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carolo Haritz, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Tiberiu Nicea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57thth minute of the game Alejo Rius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chimborazo F.C's Arqile Arquett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st minute Carolo Haritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Montxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Tiberiu Nicea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chimborazo F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiberiu Nicea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Chimborazo F.C booed when Chaco For Ever was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilfredo Lamberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evaristo Bastiaro got free with Arqile Arquett in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teobaldo Leobardo struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Florentino Montxo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chimborazo F.C. After 92 minutes, Eustaquio Raymond mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chimborazo F.C and the Chaco For Ever players grew even worse after the yellow card.
