Silvestre Phelipe charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvestre Phelipe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 20 minutes into the game, one of temple of the dog:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Severiano Urki kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Norbert Miecznikowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to temple of the dog getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Severiano Urki hit a great ball. Norbert Miecznikowski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Guga Bastos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Norbert Miecznikowski in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guga Bastos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Guga Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Queirós in the 42nd minute of play.

The wind increased when Cristobal Abancens made the kick off in the second half. temple of the dog's Guga Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Miecznikowski in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, temple of the dog's Severiano Urki got a free kick in the 71st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Aureo during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Norbert Miecznikowski took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guga Bastos. Guga Bastos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Providencia FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
