In the 8th minute Ezequiel Cerutti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Napier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th match minute, Virreyes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Raulo to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the game, Virreyes's Cipriano Paulin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciro Calisto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Patricio Napier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romulo Gipuzkoa went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Lucio Cordareo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patricio Napier having to make a save. Patricio Napier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Cerutti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Romulo Gipuzkoa made a precise shot to the right of Patricio Napier. Virreyes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Gregorio Kimetz took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciro Calisto. Ciro Calisto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Virreyes's Patricio Napier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Virreyes from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ezequiel Cerutti made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Virreyes's zone, Yuli Bonin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patricio Napier came out of the goal and Yuli Bonin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the game, Romulo Gipuzkoa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Patricio Napier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Romulo Gipuzkoa took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patricio Napier. Patricio Napier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. 66 minutes into the match, Curtiembre AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Paulin came free, but Ciro Calisto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Calisto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvio Ezkerra in the 67th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Lucio Cordareo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-3. After 76 played minutes Virreyes got a freekick which was hit by Gregory Dorel. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benito Macerio during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 85 minutes into the match, Romulo Gipuzkoa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patricio Napier. Virreyes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romulo Gipuzkoa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-3.
