Miranda's Santos Columbo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Tab in the 15th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Nicolas Tab managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guanacache FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Tab was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santos Columbo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Guanacache FC's zone, Vinicio Charro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Bermund came out of the goal and Vinicio Charro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vinicio Charro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the game, Miranda's Cornelio Perfecto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Bermund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 25th minute Ivan Pabla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Columbo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nicolas Tab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lino Asteri got free with Santos Columbo in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lino Asteri took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santos Columbo. Santos Columbo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Guanacache FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
