The referee ignored Alianza FC's protests and gave Santiago Lon a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Alianza FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Santiago Lon hit a great ball. Club Atletico Alumni's Sixto Urbez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Lago in the 31st minute of play. Sebastião Lago struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Sixto Urbez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alianza FC. Rolando Tino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastião Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixto Urbez having to interfere. Sebastião Lago hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. If Sebastião Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fulgencio Aguilera to make the kick off. Sixto Urbez had great luck who in the 64thth minute grab hold of the ball when Sebastião Lago from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 鲁强战 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Aguilera, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute.
