After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Manuel Abechuco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético de Batán's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Abechuco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Quintana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vladimiro Erdiano charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vladimiro Erdiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a little luck, Ballester FC's Ernesto Quintana got control of the ball when Melquiades Lon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abelardo Costante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ernesto Quintana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Manuel Abechuco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Manuel Abechuco took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ernesto Quintana to make any attempt to save it. Manuel Abechuco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ernesto Quintana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Benino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Cipriano Chorche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abelardo Costante might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Quintana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abelardo Costante ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 48th minute Danilo Palban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Chorche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abelardo Costante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Manuel Abechuco came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Club Atlético de Batán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Abechuco couldn't finish the play. Manuel Abechuco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Quintana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Ernesto Quintana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Costante in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Costante in the 76th minute of play forced Ballester FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Quintana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abelardo Costante in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Quintana saved Ballester FC from getting behind. Simon Librado's late challenge caught a Club Atlético de Batán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simon Librado helped the player get up and apologised. Ernesto Quintana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abelardo Costante's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 86thth minute of the game Abelardo Costante who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballester FC's Ernesto Quintana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Manuel Abechuco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Abelardo Costante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Manuel Abechuco notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Ballester FC's Ernesto Quintana. Ernesto Quintana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Club Atlético de Batán players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
