Gerrit Post was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Chañares FC booed when Paraná Rowing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Chayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Eneko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerrit Post having to interfere. Luis Costante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Gerrit Post tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paraná Rowing Club's Prospero Otsoko managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fabricio Elivareo in the 45 minute of the game. In the 46th minute, Victorio Qwinton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 48 minutes into the match, Chañares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Otsoko came free, but Gerrit Post reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dario Matai to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Modesto Gilen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Luis Costante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcial Solustiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, Bernardo Eneko notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Chañares FC's Gerrit Post. Gerrit Post was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Paraná Rowing Club's Luis Costante slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gerrit Post. That made the score 0-4 after 71 minutes of play. Gerrit Post showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Costante, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Teobaldo Enaut struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Gerrit Post didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraná Rowing Club. In the 79th minute Marcial Solustiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerrit Post saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Chañares FC booed when Paraná Rowing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcial Solustiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bernardo Eneko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paraná Rowing Club's Luis Costante got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gerrit Post made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo Eneko in the 97th minute. When the final whistle sounded Paraná Rowing Club left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Chañares FC.
