In the 17th minute, Ingvar Gustavsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the La noche FC defense, Melchor Gaueko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victorino Txatxu. The La noche FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victorino Txatxu should have stopped the shot. Victorino Txatxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Oxarra, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Zacarias Erramun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, La noche FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zacarias Erramun came free, but Victorino Txatxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Melchor Gaueko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ingvar Gustavsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Melchor Gaueko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorino Txatxu having to interfere. Marianito FC played a much better game than La noche FC and deserved their victory. The La noche FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
