Luisito Abarca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Alvaro Ticho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, Melquiades Duardo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Borussia Dortmund's Alvaro Ticho. Alvaro Ticho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an all-out effort, Borussia Dortmund's Israel Dolcet threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcelino Heriberto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Israel Dolcet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guillermo Ebardo went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 14 minutes into the game, Melquiades Duardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Alvaro Ticho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Melquiades Duardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Ticho having to interfere. When Borussia Dortmund's Marcelino Heriberto in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arequito FC's goalie prevented a goal. 22 minutes into the match, Arequito FC's goalkeeper Israel Dolcet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolando Tercero. After 33 minutes of play, Arequito FC's Melquiades Duardo made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alvaro Ticho was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Guillermo Ebardo came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Borussia Dortmund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillermo Ebardo couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrian Valiente during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund's Adrian Valiente got a free kick in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Duardo in the 44th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Alvaro Ticho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Severino Ubendu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Ticho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Arequito FC were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Melquiades Duardo made the kick off in the second half. Borussia Dortmund's Alvaro Ticho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Dortmund from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Borussia Dortmund's Alvaro Ticho got control of the ball when Melquiades Duardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fritz Damm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Ticho having to interfere. Israel Dolcet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Tercero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 66 minutes, Melquiades Duardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arequito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melquiades Duardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alvaro Ticho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Ubendu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Rivero kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Dante Rivero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Alvaro Ticho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 76th match minute, Arequito FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Guillelmo to maneuver through the defense. Marcelino Heriberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Israel Dolcet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Israel Dolcet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Tercero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelino Heriberto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Alvaro Ticho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Melquiades Duardo. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Melquiades Duardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arequito FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Melquiades Duardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro Ticho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Placido Barto to maneuver through the defense. The Borussia Dortmund fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Arequito FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
