In the 5th minute Radu Zaharia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anier Guib saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anier Guib showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Bueno in the 7th minute of the match. Anier Guib showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Ovando, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. When Fabian Ovando fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cienaguita FC's protests and gave Fabian Ovando a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cienaguita FC's Fabian Ovando got a free kick in the 12th minute. Anier Guib showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radu Zaharia, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Alejandro Checa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Gervasio Rencio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 23 minutes into the match, Radu Zaharia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anier Guib. Diablos Rojos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radu Zaharia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, Diablos Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Zaharia came free, but Anier Guib reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gervasio Rencio didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 27th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Fernan Pudes's late challenge caught a Cienaguita FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernan Pudes helped the player get up and apologised. Dino Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Cienaguita FC's goalkeeper Gervasio Rencio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alejandro Checa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Checa in the 39th minute of play forced Cienaguita FC's goalkeeper Gervasio Rencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bruno Hejmann came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Diablos Rojos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Hejmann couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Radu Zaharia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gervasio Rencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Checa in the 52nd minute of the match. After 54 played minutes Cienaguita FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Monico. Gervasio Rencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Aresti in the 55th minute of play. Diablos Rojos's Anier Guib proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Diablos Rojos from getting a goal against them. In the 57th match minute, Diablos Rojos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oleg Kosenko to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Serafino Gonzo from long distance, 58 minutes into the match, got Anier Guib's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Radu Zaharia kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Rogelio Arias lost his temper 67 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Alejandro Checa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Anier Guib had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radu Zaharia. Elias Gervaso kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Bruno Hejmann kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 83 played minutes, Cienaguita FC's Eloy Sendoa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anier Guib came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cienaguita FC reached it. Fabian Ovando kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Gervasio Rencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Checa in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cienaguita FC's Fabian Ovando got a free kick in the 92nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alejandro Checa in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gervasio Rencio saved Cienaguita FC from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cienaguita FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
