Cristo Virila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Resbalosos's zone, Antonio Bonifaco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 31st match minute, River Plate Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Barrionuevo to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd play minute Fabricio Luzaide came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lucio Etxekopar. 1-2. Paulino Saturnin kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After 43 played minutes, River Plate Sports's Julio Oto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cristo Virila came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in River Plate Sports reached it. When Resbalosos's Fabricio Luzaide in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amancio Lander made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Amancio Lander managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate Sports's supporters rose to their feet, but Amancio Lander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristo Virila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 60 minutes, Amancio Lander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate Sports's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amancio Lander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Lander in the 62nd minute of play forced Resbalosos's goalkeeper Cristo Virila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rdth minute of the game Amancio Lander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Resbalosos's Cristo Virila was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With splendid footwork Amancio Lander arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-3 by the left pole in the game's 69th minute. Cristo Virila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Lander in the 74th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Amancio Lander got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Amancio Lander was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. River Plate Sports's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Resbalosos's Cristo Virila proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Resbalosos from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Resbalosos booed when River Plate Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Lander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristo Virila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Guifre in the 93rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Amancio Lander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristo Virila was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Resbalosos's zone, Antonio Bonifaco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristo Virila came out of the goal and Antonio Bonifaco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded River Plate Sports left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Resbalosos.
