Lázaro Ferran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Deportivo Merlo's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Pitin came free, but Lázaro Ferran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bartosz Chojnacki made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Niceto Quintan sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Deportivo Merlo defense, Camilo Reynardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lázaro Ferran. The Deportivo Merlo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lázaro Ferran should have stopped the shot. Sebastian Tabor in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bartosz Chojnacki, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lucio Pitin charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucio Pitin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, Lucio Pitin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that 邵德永's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lázaro Ferran was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. After 28th play minutes 邵德永 shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Lázaro Ferran and just under the crossbar into goal. Sebastian Tabor hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 38th match minute, Deportivo Merlo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Pacorro to maneuver through the defense. After 40 played minutes Deportivo Merlo got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Demario. Bartosz Chojnacki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Tabor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastian Tabor was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Pitin in the 52nd minute of play forced Deportivo Merlo's goalkeeper Lázaro Ferran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bartosz Chojnacki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Quintan in the 55th minute of the match. Lázaro Ferran was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Lucio Pitin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lucio Pitin really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Camilo Reynardos short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Lázaro Ferran to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sportivo Italiano were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Deportivo Merlo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Julian Txerran took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Julian Txerran got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lázaro Ferran quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lázaro Ferran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Pitin in the 70th minute of play. Niceto Quintan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lázaro Ferran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Reynardo in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Camilo Reynardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Camilo Reynardo took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Lázaro Ferran to make any attempt to save it. The Sportivo Italiano supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sportivo Italiano would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
