In the 31st minute Hieronim Kostrzewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Clare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Aldosivi's goalkeeper Dave Clare had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorio Viviano. The audience was convinced that Hieronim Kostrzewski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dave Clare was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. After 39 played minutes, Selvas's Cris Guardia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dave Clare came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enrique Ledesma to make the kick off. Agustin Nevada charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustin Nevada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Agustin Nevada kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Enrique Ledesma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Marcones having to interfere. Dave Clare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hieronim Kostrzewski in the 62nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Selvas defense, Enrique Ledesma kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonardo Marcones. The Selvas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonardo Marcones should have stopped the shot. Enrique Ledesma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enrique Ledesma struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Leonardo Marcones didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Aldosivi. Hieronim Kostrzewski took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dave Clare. Dave Clare dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 78th match minute, Selvas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Telmo to maneuver through the defense. If Guto de Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute of the match Cris Guardia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dave Clare showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dave Clare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hieronim Kostrzewski in the 94th minute of the match.
