The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolando Iruinea got free with Niceto Figueroa in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute, Roman old boys's Rigoberto Gizon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Niceto Figueroa. Niceto Figueroa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 20 minutes in the game, Pedro Petrigai fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Niceto Figueroa having to interfere. Niceto Figueroa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rigoberto Gizon in the 24th minute. Nicasio Muno hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Tano Torrente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleto Turi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Pedro Petrigai dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Niceto Figueroa, 3-0. Antinaco were furious when Raimundo Aimar was red carded, 32 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Roman old boys booed when Antinaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacio Markel didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Antinaco getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Danilo Illart hit a great ball. Antinaco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Rigoberto Gizon scored to the left of an out of position Niceto Figueroa, making the score, 4-0. Rigoberto Telmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Tano Torrente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antinaco's Niceto Figueroa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Gizon in the 45th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Antinaco got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Illart. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Niceto Figueroa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Iruinea, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Antinaco's Niceto Figueroa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Savier in the 54th minute of play. In the 59th minute of the game Cleto Turi made a throw-in which Danilo Illart played forward. Cornelio Oliveiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tano Torrente having to interfere. In the 64th minute Rolando Iruinea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Figueroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niceto Figueroa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Gizon in the 65th minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Roman old boys's zone, Rigoberto Telmo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tano Torrente came out of the goal and Rigoberto Telmo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the game, Rolando Iruinea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roman old boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Antinaco the free kick. A collision led to Roman old boys getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Rolando Iruinea hit a great ball. Cleto Turi hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Petrigai in the 92nd minute of play forced Antinaco's goalkeeper Niceto Figueroa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cornelio Oliveiro came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Antinaco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cornelio Oliveiro couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Antinaco's zone, Pedro Petrigai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Figueroa came out of the goal and Pedro Petrigai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cornelio Oliveiro struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Tano Torrente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Antinaco. Roman old boys walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
