Luciano Matxin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Primo in the 36th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Ibon in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luciano Matxin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Guillelme during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th minute, Rafael Guillelme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atego Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santiago Ibon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santiago Ibon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ivan Primo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caspichango's Luciano Matxin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Ibon in the 53rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Santiago Ibon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luciano Matxin was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. 56 minutes into the match, Atego Fútbol Club's Dario Tauro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luciano Matxin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Atego Fútbol Club's Gabriel Medina got control of the ball when Antonio Bernat tried to sneak it across the goal line. But to his dismay, Antonio Bernat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 60th minute, Santiago Ibon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Koldobika in the 62nd minute of play forced Caspichango's goalkeeper Luciano Matxin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Dario Tauro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivan Primo might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luciano Matxin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Primo ran back to his position shaking his head. Luciano Matxin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Medero, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Ivan Primo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luciano Matxin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Medero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
