To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the match, Pasion Villera's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Iliana came free, but Humberto Karmel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Karmel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Iliana in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Aztore in the 46th minute of play forced Pasion Villera's goalkeeper Humberto Karmel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tommy Alfredsen to strike the kick off in the second half. Humberto Karmel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urbano Marz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tapias 's Ovidio Oliverio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Laurgain in the 54th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Tapias 's Aaron Iliana slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Humberto Karmel. That made the score 2-2 after 58 minutes of play. 62 minutes into the match, Pasion Villera's Everardo Menendo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ovidio Oliverio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ovidio Oliverio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Alfredsen in the 63rd minute of play. When Pasion Villera's Tommy Alfredsen in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
