A collision led to Club A. Excursionistas getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Manuel Fernandez hit a great ball. 14 minutes in the game Radovan Hrubala did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Marco Haitz. After having played for 28 minutes, Federico Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club A. Excursionistas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Federico Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sorin Enescu struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Anselmo Vermudo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club A. Excursionistas. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
