Eulalio Charro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Gorbea having to interfere. Romulo Abascal hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Blai in the 10th minute of play forced Despeñaderos AFC's goalkeeper Atilano Gorbea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Invisible Lions were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Despeñaderos AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mauro Santio took the corner. Enzo Jaunzuria was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 23 minutes, Lino Cordeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Despeñaderos AFC and the Invisible Lions players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lino Cordeiro hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Felix Unai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Jaime Celipe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th match minute, Invisible Lions was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Jaunzuria to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Celipe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Unai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Invisible Lions's Eulalio Charro got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Jaime Celipe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Salvator's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute, Felix Unai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Despeñaderos AFC's Luis Salvator sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jaime Celipe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leopoldo Blai made a kick off. Jaime Celipe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Unai, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Despeñaderos AFC's Lino Cordeiro got his second yellow card of the match in the 52nd minute. The referee ordered Lino Cordeiro off the ground. A collision led to Despeñaderos AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Lino Cordeiro hit a great ball. Enzo Jaunzuria hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 59 minutes, Delmiro Gil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Invisible Lions and the Despeñaderos AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Invisible Lions was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmiro Gil to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Despeñaderos AFC's Roque Florin broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Siro Roldan hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Eulalio Charro took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Atilano Gorbea. Atilano Gorbea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After 68 played minutes Invisible Lions got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Iyan. Eulalio Charro hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Gonzalo Jobo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atilano Gorbea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Charro in the 74th minute of play. Mauro Santio made a great header on Invisible Lions's corner, it was just that Despeñaderos AFC's Atilano Gorbea managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 80th minute Eulalio Charro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Gorbea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Salvator received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Jaime Celipe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
