After 21 minutes of play, Berraondo's Ciro Macario made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benicio Romelio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Berraondo's goalkeeper Flavio Valente, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Frasco in the 31st minute of play forced Berraondo's goalkeeper Flavio Valente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Berraondo's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Ulizes came free, but Flavio Valente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Frasco was the one to do the kick off. Flavio Valente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleto Incendio, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Cornelio Ulizes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1-1 became the score in the 55th minute when Daniel Frasco elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Sarmiento FC booed when Berraondo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Santiago didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Daniel Frasco sped through Berraondo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Flavio Valente. Cornelio Ulizes struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Flavio Valente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarmiento FC. Flavio Valente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Txaran, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clemente Sesuldo during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. One of Sarmiento FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Berraondo:s goal. Fidel James walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Frasco in the 94th minute of play forced Berraondo's goalkeeper Flavio Valente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cornelio Ulizes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sarmiento FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
