The referee ignored Loreto's protests and gave Cristian Senen a yellow card for diving instead. Cristian Senen kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. The Cholila AFC fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Cholila AFC's Hong Cheng Yan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Teo Viviano might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mariano Mikeldi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teo Viviano ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute, Hong Cheng Yan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Cholila AFC booed when Loreto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Santxol didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
