The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hernani Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Hernani Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustacio Lobo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Vidal Amieva managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.SyD Tamangueyú's supporters rose to their feet, but Vidal Amieva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Baiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jonatan Rolado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Club Atletico Bolivar's Jonas Baiano got control of the ball when Jonatan Rolado tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, C.SyD Tamangueyú's Placido Luzea got a free kick in the 25th minute. Vidal Amieva scored 1-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonas Baiano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 32 minutes, Rosendo Ubendu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Bolivar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rosendo Ubendu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adolphus Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Jonathan Artaldo put in a rough tackle.

Jonas Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vidal Amieva in the 53rd minute of the match. Jonas Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vidal Amieva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Bolivar's zone, Elias Louis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Baiano came out of the goal and Elias Louis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the game, Amadeo Presebal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Eustacio Lobo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Severino Gumaro's late challenge caught a C.SyD Tamangueyú's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severino Gumaro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, Club Atletico Bolivar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Gumaro to maneuver through the defense. C.SyD Tamangueyú's Elias Louis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Severino Gumaro, made in the 85th minute of the game. Club Atletico Bolivar's Jonas Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vidal Amieva in the 86th minute of play. Jonas Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vidal Amieva in the 90th minute of play. Elias Louis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jonas Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Hernani Mendonça reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eustacio Lobo. The goal made the score 2-3. The Club Atletico Bolivar supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Atletico Bolivar would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
