A collision led to Tortugas AFC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Carlos Demario hit a great ball. If Carlos Demario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Virginia AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Fernandez came free, but Reynaldo Burni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Enrique Abalos in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Virginia AFC's Justino Sadurni. The supporters of Tortugas AFC booed when Virginia AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carolo Hernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Carlos Demario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tortugas AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Demario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 32 minutes into the game, Israel Rocendo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tortugas AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Virginia AFC the free kick. Virginia AFC's Martin Pacorro was substituted for Pedro Pinto. In the 34th minute, Israel Rocendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Feliciano Osoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Reynaldo Burni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute Javier Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Burni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Virginia AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Fernandez came free, but Reynaldo Burni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 played minutes Tortugas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Gerazan. Erasmo Chuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Mathias Åström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erasmo Chuan to make the kick off. Teodosio Quintyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tortugas AFC's Mathias Åström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Chuan in the 53rd minute of play. Mathias Åström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Gonchan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Feliciano Osoro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Virginia AFC booed when Tortugas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Gerazan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Tortugas AFC's Sem Antheunis got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute, Teodosio Quintyn sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tortugas AFC's Mathias Åström didn't even have to move. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tortugas AFC's goalkeeper Mathias Åström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Reynaldo Burni was a little too slow when Feliciano Osoro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-1. The Virginia AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tortugas AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Tortugas AFC.
