Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Jerardo Sayavedra made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Benino in the 3rd minute of play forced Indios Chapaleufu's goalkeeper Gavino Satordi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chimborazo's goalkeeper Lino Karmel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Efrain Ofelio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 7th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 10th minute, Melquiades Benino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Melquiades Benino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gavino Satordi was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Melquiades Benino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gavino Satordi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Indios Chapaleufu's Saul Jaunzuria got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saul Jaunzuria in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lino Karmel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Delmiro Bide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Lino Karmel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Melquiades Benino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chimborazo's supporters rose to their feet, but Melquiades Benino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavino Satordi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 44 minutes into the match, Melquiades Benino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavino Satordi. Indios Chapaleufu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Melquiades Benino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Efrain Ofelio to strike the kick off in the second half. Jerardo Sayavedra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chimborazo's Lino Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Jaunzuria in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Indios Chapaleufu's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Melquiades Benino fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Melquiades Benino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Satordi having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Jerardo Sayavedra dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gavino Satordi, 0-2. After 67 played minutes Indios Chapaleufu got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Galtero. 71 minutes into the match, Indios Chapaleufu's goalkeeper Gavino Satordi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eloy Vidal. Efrain Ofelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Karmel having to interfere. 80 minutes into the game, Efrain Ofelio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Lino Karmel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerardo Sayavedra in the 84th minute of play forced Indios Chapaleufu's goalkeeper Gavino Satordi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bernardo Gomez fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Indios Chapaleufu's protests and gave Bernardo Gomez a yellow card for diving instead. Saul Jaunzuria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lino Karmel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Delmiro Bide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Chimborazo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Indios Chapaleufu throughout the match.
