With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edelmiro Efren in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victoriano Gaur saved Chusca AFC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Chusca AFC's zone, Edelmiro Efren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Gaur came out of the goal and Edelmiro Efren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edelmiro Efren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Victoriano Gaur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lázaro Napier scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victoriano Gaur, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Victoriano Gaur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Efren, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Verna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jeronimo Rivas in the 22nd minute. After 24 minutes, Lázaro Napier made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Chusca AFC's Victoriano Gaur tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th match minute, Verna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeronimo Rivas to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Chusca AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Edelmiro Efren came free, but Victoriano Gaur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavino Oriol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliberto Vito, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Verna's Lázaro Napier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victoriano Gaur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gavino Oriol made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Arturo Omero sent off a good shot on target. Lázaro Napier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jeronimo Rivas kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Honorio Rafe made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Chusca AFC's Feliberto Vito got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Edelmiro Efren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verna's supporters rose to their feet, but Edelmiro Efren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Gaur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edelmiro Efren in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victoriano Gaur saved Chusca AFC from getting behind. If Lázaro Napier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ariel Tono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edelmiro Efren got free with Victoriano Gaur in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edelmiro Efren struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Victoriano Gaur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verna. 70 minutes into the match, Edelmiro Efren dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Victoriano Gaur, 0-3. Victoriano Gaur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Napier in the 74th minute of play. In the 81st minute of the match, Lázaro Napier tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Victoriano Gaur saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 82ndth minute of the game Edelmiro Efren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chusca AFC's Victoriano Gaur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lázaro Napier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Gaur having to interfere. If Lázaro Napier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 93 minutes into the match, Verna's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Vito came free, but Gavino Oriol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Chusca AFC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Aquilino Romo hit a great ball. When Jeronimo Rivas came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Verna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeronimo Rivas couldn't finish the play.
