Rosario Central's Şofiq Araya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Rosario Central from getting a goal against them. Astor Santiago hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the game, Manuel Bazil recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Şofiq Araya. Manuel Bazil showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 22ndth minute of the game Manuel Bazil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rosario Central's Şofiq Araya was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 30 minutes Rosario Central's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Norberto Viviano who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Norberto Viviano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Şofiq Araya quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Jeronimo Odon put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Romeo Presebal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Manuel Bazil made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Moteagudo's goalkeeper Romeo Presebal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Bazil couldn't finish the play. After 85 played minutes Leon Bernebe rounded Moteagudo's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Jeronimo Odon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosario Central's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeronimo Odon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeo Presebal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rosario Central eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
