After 18 played minutes, La Fabro's Luis Rivero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabio Hodei came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Apolo Petrigai struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Nunez Firmo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Escoya. Apolo Petrigai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Nunez Firmo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Guillen in the 27th minute of play forced Escoya's goalkeeper Fabio Hodei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Fabro's Paulino Cerilo got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leo Guillen in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Hodei saved Escoya from getting behind. When Hernan Cresencio fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Escoya's protests and gave Hernan Cresencio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Escoya getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Hernan Cresencio hit a great ball. In the 35th minute of the match Filiberto Dayam shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nunez Firmo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Apolo Petrigai got free with Nunez Firmo in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute Everardo Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Firmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Paulino Cerilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eduardo Porfirio kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leo Guillen made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Guillen in the 53rd minute of play forced Escoya's goalkeeper Fabio Hodei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nunez Firmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Petrigai, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Anastasio Goren hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Lech Kendra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leo Guillen in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Hodei saved Escoya from getting behind. Fabio Hodei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leo Guillen in the 80th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Escoya's goalkeeper Fabio Hodei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leo Guillen. In the 87th minute Everardo Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Firmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Faustino Jusepe managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Fabro's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustino Jusepe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Hodei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabio Hodei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leo Guillen in the 92nd minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
