Hector Lauro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Bizen in the 12th minute of the match. Gregorio Clemencin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Chinto got free with Hector Lauro in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st minute, Herminio Baldovino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabio Astudillo kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gregorio Clemencin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gustavo Eguntsenti was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gregorio Clemencin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 74 minute of play. In the 81st minute, Elpidio Bizen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hector Lauro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento's zone, Gregorio Clemencin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Eguntsenti came out of the goal and Gregorio Clemencin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 88 minutes into the game, when Herminio Baldovino put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Sarmiento booed when Piñeyro AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Astudillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Elpidio Bizen came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Sarmiento fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elpidio Bizen couldn't finish the play. Hector Lauro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Chinto in the 94th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
