Cipriano Etxepare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Ascencio in the 6th minute of play. Cipriano Etxepare stood somewhat misplaced when Genaro Ascencio came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 7 minute. After having played for 12 minutes, Genaro Ascencio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Ascencio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind PIRATAS FOR EVER's goalkeeper Cipriano Etxepare, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Angel Quexal hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Everardo Raphael's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miklós Lovász was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Ascencio in the 36th minute of play forced PIRATAS FOR EVER's goalkeeper Cipriano Etxepare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored PIRATAS FOR EVER's protests and gave Arsenio Blanco a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of PIRATAS FOR EVER:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Racing Club:s goal. Daniel Jaizki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 47 played minutes, PIRATAS FOR EVER's Amador Sustrai shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Miklós Lovász came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PIRATAS FOR EVER reached it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Apolo Fagondo made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Angel Quexal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Etxepare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apolo Fagondo in the 62nd minute of play forced PIRATAS FOR EVER's goalkeeper Cipriano Etxepare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angel Quexal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Cipriano Etxepare tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67thth minute of the game Apolo Fagondo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PIRATAS FOR EVER's Cipriano Etxepare was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Jaizki kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Cipriano Etxepare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Fagondo in the 71st minute of play. In the 91st minute, Apolo Fagondo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cipriano Etxepare was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Cipriano Etxepare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Fagondo in the 99th minute of play. Racing Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
