After 22 played minutes Mazatlán CF got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Vigil. In the 26th minute, Alanzo Mezquita fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severino Toro in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victorio Fernendo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute, ElKpaso's Maximiliano Errando seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Maximiliano Errando the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ElKpaso protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Maximiliano Errando had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Mazatlán CF booed when ElKpaso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Errando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fermin Elazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 played minutes Mazatlán CF got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Gotzon. Mazatlán CF's Federico Dorio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Mazatlán CF from getting a goal against them. After 44 played minutes Mazatlán CF got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Elazar. In the 46th minute, Fermin Elazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Tony Wallin made the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes ElKpaso got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Berdaitz. Severino Toro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. Mazatlán CF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Federico Dorio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tony Wallin went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Victorio Fernendo had in the 69thth minute some difficulties stopping Camilo Peru's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 70th match minute, ElKpaso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alanzo Mezquita to maneuver through the defense. ElKpaso's Valentin Bazkoare quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Freddy Eliazar, made in the 76th minute of the game. 79 minutes in the game Valentin Bazkoare did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Alanzo Mezquita. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermin Elazar in the 81st minute of play forced ElKpaso's goalkeeper Victorio Fernendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 98th minute, Robustiano Gotzon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that ElKpaso were the better team. ElKpaso's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
