Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Walter Hinrichsen started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Sánchez FC's Rigoberto Remicio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rigoberto Remicio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sánchez FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rigoberto Remicio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 5 minutes into the game, one of Sánchez FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dobromir Prokowski shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sánchez FC! In the 11th minute there was a penalty for River Plate. Dobromir Prokowski stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Per-Åke Borre. 0-1. Cosme Fidencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Pascual Galsino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sánchez FC's goalkeeper Per-Åke Borre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Conrado Sengrat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Åke Borre having to interfere. Walter Hinrichsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascual Galsino having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabricio Abreu to make the kick off. Teobaldo Tadzio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Per-Åke Borre skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Gregorio Gumaro got a free kick in the 57th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Dobromir Prokowski could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Per-Åke Borre however easily saved by the left post. Walter Hinrichsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th match minute, Sánchez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Iraido to maneuver through the defense. Osvaldo Orlondo got a throw-in 73 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cosme Fidencio. 76 minutes into the match, Sánchez FC's goalkeeper Per-Åke Borre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teobaldo Tadzio. In the 77th minute Conrado Sengrat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Åke Borre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walter Hinrichsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Pascual Galsino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cosme Fidencio went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. River Plate made a substitution. Eulalio Hurko replaced Fabricio Abreu. Walter Hinrichsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
