In the 6thth minute of the game Esteban Egoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mercedes's Georgi Botusharov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Club Atletic Don Santiago's Aurelio Mel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletic Don Santiago from getting a goal against them. After 19 minutes of play, Club Atletic Don Santiago's Esteban Egoi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Georgi Botusharov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Club Atletic Don Santiago's Eleuterio Ermano got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernardo Azeari hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Aurelio Mel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Vermudo in the 34th minute of the match. Angel Gabon hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Aurelio Mel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Olentzaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esteban Egoi in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Georgi Botusharov saved Mercedes from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Olentzaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Georgi Botusharov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Egoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Georgi Botusharov didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Club Atletic Don Santiago's Esteban Egoi shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Esteban Egoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Georgi Botusharov made a huge save. Robustiano Enekoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Aurelio Mel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th match minute, Club Atletic Don Santiago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Favila to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute of the match Ramon Dino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aurelio Mel skillfully saved the ball. Angel Gabon took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurelio Mel. Aurelio Mel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 79th minute, Angel Gabon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mercedes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. The audience was convinced that Esteban Egoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Georgi Botusharov was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Eleuterio Ermano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Georgi Botusharov made a huge save. Esteban Egoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Georgi Botusharov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
