Lonnie Barger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Esteban Egoi went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Esteban Egoi put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Lonnie Barger. Lonnie Barger didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Club Atletic Don Santiago's Esteban Egoi shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. With a little luck, Club Atletic Don Santiago's Aurelio Mel got control of the ball when Camilo Ricart tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Esteban Egoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lonnie Barger was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Though ot was a great shot Club Atletic Don Santiago's keeper Aurelio Mel was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 29thth minute of the game Esteban Egoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alastuey's Lonnie Barger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Esteban Egoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletic Don Santiago's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteban Egoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Argenis in the 34th minute of play forced Club Atletic Don Santiago's goalkeeper Aurelio Mel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Mel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Weterio in the 36th minute of the match. If Camilo Ricart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Club Atletic Don Santiago's Aurelio Mel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Weterio in the 41st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Ricart during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Camilo Ricart hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. If Eleuterio Ermano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteban Egoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lonnie Barger having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esteban Egoi to make the kick off. In the 56th minute of the match Cipriano Dantas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aurelio Mel skillfully saved the ball. Lonnie Barger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esteban Egoi's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Esteban Egoi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Lonnie Barger skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Camilo Ricart struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Aurelio Mel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alastuey. Anastasio Calixto hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Alastuey's Lucio Weterio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Mel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 70 minutes, Camilo Ricart made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atletic Don Santiago's Aurelio Mel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 75 minutes of play, Alastuey's Lucio Weterio made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelio Mel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lucio Weterio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Mel having to interfere. Aurelio Mel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Weterio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aurelio Mel came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Alastuey's Lucio Weterio. But to his dismay, Lucio Weterio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletic Don Santiago's goalkeeper Aurelio Mel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Octavio Estefan during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Alastuey booed when Club Atletic Don Santiago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Estefan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Club Atletic Don Santiago's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Ricart came free, but Aurelio Mel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esteban Egoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lonnie Barger having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletic Don Santiago's zone, Camilo Ricart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Mel came out of the goal and Camilo Ricart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Camilo Ricart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alastuey's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
