Saladillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Filiberto Cai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Maiorga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Otoniel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Radowit Waselenczuk kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Saladillo booed when Castex was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Genaro Bastia charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genaro Bastia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 40 played minutes Castex got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Bastia. Filiberto Cai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvestre Bastian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Angel Otoniel made the kick off in the second half. When Radowit Waselenczuk fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saladillo's protests and gave Radowit Waselenczuk a yellow card for diving instead. Radowit Waselenczuk hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Caetano in the 57th minute of play forced Saladillo's goalkeeper Norberto Maiorga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute Angel Otoniel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Maiorga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Saladillo's Filiberto Cai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristian Caetano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Maiorga having to interfere. Tomás Barto's late challenge caught a Castex's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás Barto helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Castex booed when Saladillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Barto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Eliseo Valente was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. Saladillo played a much better game than Castex and deserved their victory. The Castex players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
