After 3 played minutes Médanos got a freekick which was hit by Placido Ramond. A collision led to Médanos getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jimeno Innocenzio hit a great ball. With a little luck, river plate's Adriano Baptista got control of the ball when Alejandro Eder tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 19 minutes of play, Médanos's Alejandro Eder made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adriano Baptista was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 28th minute, Médanos's Luciano Curcio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Luciano Curcio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Médanos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Luciano Curcio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Médanos getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Luciano Curcio hit a great ball. If Aureliano Mancio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Botello was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Médanos's Jimeno Innocenzio got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute, Humberto Botello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Natalio Dunixi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusebio Gar was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Aureliano Mancio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Placido Ramond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 77 minutes, Amado Lehen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Médanos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Lehen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of river plate booed when Médanos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Ramond didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justo Pelagius kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Ildefonso Luar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pastor Marquez got free with Eusebio Gar in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
