Aristides Mannie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Setúbal in the 27th minute of the match. Aristides Mannie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Setúbal in the 30th minute of play. Cosme Abilio's late challenge caught a Ciénega FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Lucas Setúbal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aristides Mannie. That made the score 2-1 in the 35 minute of play. Ulises Lekubegi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Bartolome having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Upinango were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Ciénega FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Flavio Ayala took the corner. Ulises Lekubegi came free with the goalkeeper in the 56th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Severino Bartolome could save by the left post. When Danilo Pio came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Upinango fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Pio couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute, Fausto Chaime hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aristides Mannie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anfilogino Giannantonio, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Ciénega FC's Vladimiro Peyo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aristides Mannie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Flavio Ayala kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match.
