After 5 minutes, Casimiro Emenon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gallito Fútbol Club and the Talva players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gallito Fútbol Club's Casimiro Emenon got a free kick in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Errolan in the 7th minute of play forced Gallito Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Tiburcio Macias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Aquiles Elazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Talva's Arnulfo Fidensio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Talva from getting a goal against them. After 11 played minutes Jacobo Gagriel rounded Talva's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Rodrigo Olayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Macias having to interfere. After 17 minutes, Mateo Errolan made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gallito Fútbol Club's Tiburcio Macias tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Gallito Fútbol Club booed when Talva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Elazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Gallito Fútbol Club defense, Celestino Teofilio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiburcio Macias. The Gallito Fútbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiburcio Macias should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Gallito Fútbol Club's Casimiro Emenon got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 32 played minutes Talva got a freekick which was hit by Kjell Löfgren. 37 minutes into the game, Mateo Errolan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Tiburcio Macias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Talva's Mateo Errolan got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Talva were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eriberto Garcia during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Talva's Eriberto Garcia got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute Mateo Errolan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Macias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiburcio Macias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateo Errolan, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Celestino Teofilio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tiburcio Macias. Celestino Teofilio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. A throw-in in the 62nd minute of the game was made by Eriberto Garcia with Rodrigo Olayo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Tiburcio Macias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Olayo in the 63rd minute. Rodrigo Olayo took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiburcio Macias. Tiburcio Macias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. With a little luck, Gallito Fútbol Club's Tiburcio Macias got control of the ball when Mateo Errolan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacobo Gagriel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnulfo Fidensio having to make a save. The supporters of Gallito Fútbol Club booed when Talva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Errolan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gallito Fútbol Club's attentive Cecilio Mundo managed to snatch the ball when Eriberto Garcia made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. Gallito Fútbol Club's Cecilio Mundo got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Talva booed when Gallito Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelio Piarres didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Talva could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gallito Fútbol Club throughout the match.
