In the 5th minute, Amador Birjaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan-Olof Kiempe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Sansone having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Florencio Txema was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mendiolaza FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zentena FC the free kick. After 15 played minutes Mendiolaza FC got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Txema. In the 17th minute, Andres Macias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Zentena FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Andres Macias hit a great ball. Efrain Urtun kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Zentena FC's Angel Soin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Angel Soin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Zentena FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Angel Soin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Zentena FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mendiolaza FC:s goal. 25 minutes into the game, Mendiolaza FC's Leon Jerano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fulgencio Librado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Anier Procopio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Mendiolaza FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Hermengildo Frances hit a great ball. Aquilino Sansone came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Zentena FC's Anier Procopio. But to his dismay, Anier Procopio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Mendiolaza FC's Serafin Sauveur got a free kick in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mendiolaza FC's zone, Ermegildo Cilio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquilino Sansone came out of the goal and Ermegildo Cilio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Zentena FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Andres Macias hit a great ball. A hard shot 47 in the game by Anier Procopio from a close distance when the talented Aquilino Sansone managed to make a qualified save. Mendiolaza FC's players were relieved. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jairo Leheren to strike the kick off in the second half. Jairo Leheren might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fulgencio Librado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jairo Leheren ran back to his position shaking his head. Zentena FC's Fulgencio Librado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Suero in the 53rd minute of play. Joel Euloxu charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Euloxu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 57 played minutes Zentena FC got a freekick which was hit by Joel Euloxu. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Anier Procopio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zentena FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Procopio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquilino Sansone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fulgencio Librado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidio Suero in the 67th minute of the match. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Mendiolaza FC's goalkeeper Aquilino Sansone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Joel Euloxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 played minutes Ovidio Suero rounded Zentena FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. 81 minutes into the match, Zentena FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Refugio came free, but Fulgencio Librado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Jairo Leheren could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Fulgencio Librado however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Zentena FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Andres Macias hit a great ball. Ermegildo Cilio hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
