The Caruso Lombardi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baldomero Cordeal should have stopped the shot. Geronimo Hibai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Baldomero Cordeal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Salvador Obano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Leobardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
