The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Godofredo Baraquiel put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Niceto Servando. Artemio Michael stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emílio Borges's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. River el mas grande's Niceto Servando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save River el mas grande from getting a goal against them. Godofredo Baraquiel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Niceto Servando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Rigoberto Domenec sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Niceto Servando threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Rigoberto Domenec this time. Emílio Borges took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artemio Michael. Artemio Michael dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 34th minute, Ermegildo Poz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niceto Servando was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. When Fausto Gentza fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Somisa's protests and gave Fausto Gentza a yellow card for diving instead. 41 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Domenec was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Somisa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River el mas grande the free kick. In the 41st minute, Rigoberto Domenec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Godofredo Baraquiel to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Club Somisa's Fausto Gentza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niceto Servando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Ermegildo Poz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Niceto Servando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Godofredo Baraquiel in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niceto Servando prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind River el mas grande's goalkeeper Niceto Servando, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, River el mas grande's Leon Mosen got a free kick in the 67th minute. When Rigoberto Domenec came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Club Somisa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigoberto Domenec couldn't finish the play. Emílio Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Artemio Michael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Emílio Borges recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Artemio Michael. Emílio Borges showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-2. Artemio Michael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emílio Borges in the 83rd minute. Fausto Gentza hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the match, River el mas grande's goal looked a bit too open when Godofredo Baraquiel came free, but Niceto Servando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Fausto Gentza came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Club Somisa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Gentza couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute Godofredo Baraquiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Servando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaac Constancio charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isaac Constancio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Isaac Constancio hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
