The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Dante Cristos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Semeno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 6 minutes on the clock, Arnulfo Saturnin commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Quebrachos getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Arnulfo Saturnin hit a great ball. Gonzalo Dalmu might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximo Oidor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 12th minute, Anier Gauargi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fermin Meder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Quebrachos defense, Karol Polkoski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximo Oidor. The Quebrachos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximo Oidor should have stopped the shot. Fermin Meder hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Justino Semeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Bernabel, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Fermin Meder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Semeno having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Fermin Meder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quebrachos's supporters rose to their feet, but Fermin Meder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justino Semeno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th match minute, Quebrachos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Rivas to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Independiente El Glorioso's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Bernabel came free, but Justino Semeno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Quebrachos were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Independiente El Glorioso's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nicolas Sabino took the corner. The corner led Quebrachos's Nicolas Sabino to fire away a dangerous shot which Justino Semeno despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Isidoro Bernabel came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Quebrachos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Bernabel couldn't finish the play. Justino Semeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Bernabel, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Justino Semeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermin Meder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente El Glorioso's zone, Ezequiel Urtungo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justino Semeno came out of the goal and Ezequiel Urtungo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 73 minutes of play, Quebrachos's Fermin Meder made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Justino Semeno was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Independiente El Glorioso's zone, Fermin Meder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justino Semeno came out of the goal and Fermin Meder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Independiente El Glorioso's Eric Aristide got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fermin Meder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Justino Semeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quebrachos's Fermin Meder got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Ezequiel Urtungo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Justino Semeno, 1-2. When the match was over Quebrachos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Independiente El Glorioso throughout the match.
