Lucio Cordarell might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rene Ceandro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucio Cordarell ran back to his position shaking his head. Rene Ceandro made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Angelino Erroman sent off a good shot on target. Atlético Callejeros's Rene Ceandro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Frederico in the 11th minute of play. Lucio Cordarell in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rene Ceandro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Angelino Erroman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rene Ceandro made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Lucio Cordarell sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Callejeros's zone, Lucio Cordarell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Ceandro came out of the goal and Lucio Cordarell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruperto Dabi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Rene Ceandro made a huge save. A collision led to Atlético Callejeros getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Albino Richie hit a great ball. Ariel Veronica was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Carlos Turi might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Delmar Beti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Turi ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Callejeros's zone, Ruperto Frederico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Ceandro came out of the goal and Ruperto Frederico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rene Ceandro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Telesforo in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Atlético Callejeros's Abel Chan got a free kick in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucio Cordarell made a kick off. Rene Ceandro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruperto Frederico in the 53rd minute of the match. After having played for 56 minutes, Ruperto Frederico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maranaos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruperto Frederico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rene Ceandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Cordarell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maranaos FC's Delmar Beti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Maranaos FC from getting a goal against them. Rene Ceandro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Cordarell, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Lucio Cordarell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rene Ceandro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruperto Frederico in the 71st minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Lucio Cordarell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rene Ceandro. Atlético Callejeros's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucio Cordarell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Lucio Cordarell charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucio Cordarell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Maranaos FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Lucio Cordarell hit a great ball. If Angelino Erroman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rene Ceandro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Urre in the 86th minute of the match. Delmar Beti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Tauro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Marcelino Urre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A long shot from Abel Chan in the 97th minute of play was well struck, but Delmar Beti made a really good save at the right post. Maranaos FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
